Angela Murfitt

Chartered Financial Planner

I am a Chartered financial planner and have worked within the financial services industry for over 28 years. I began my career working for Norwich Union in an administrative role, later running and managing a team of support staff in corporate pension administration.

I moved into financial advice in 1996 where I developed my skills and knowledge of complex pensions, investments, estate planning and trust work. I still work with a great deal of my original clients today.

In addition to being a Chartered financial planner, I am a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. I aso work with the local college running courses in financial planning as well as the Chartered Insurance Institute, the Institute of Financial Services and the Institute of Financial Planning in training roles and as an assistant examiner helping others achieve their qualifications and improve their knowledge.

Angela’s advice has completely changed my life. I have pensions arrangements set up and am even dabbling in stocks and shares. No matter how busy or where I am, I can always log in to my account. I feel so much more confident about my financial future

Alison James

Chartered Financial Planner

After completing a Neuroscience degree at the University of Edinburgh, Alison James started her career in financial services in 2003, working in the mortgage department at Bank of Scotland. Since then, Alison has worked in technical roles at two Edinburgh financial planning firms before joining Spence & Spence as a Chartered Financial Planner in January 2012.

As well as being a Chartered Financial Planner, Alison is also a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and holds specialist qualifications for occupational pension transfers, equity release and long term care.  While Alison advises on most aspects of personal financial planning and prides herself on providing a holistic service, much of her time is spent advising clients on pensions, including lifetime allowance and annual allowance issues.

Jo has provided us with sound financial advice with reassuring results and outcomes from various investments, pension planning and policies. Her financial advice comes with an engaging personality whilst having an understanding of our short & long term financial objectives for both ourselves and our children. Jo has the ability to explain financial proposals in a simplistic manner helping us to make the right decisions.

Sean Larkin

Chartered Financial Planner

I am a Fellow of The Personal Finance Society, a Chartered financial planner, a Chartered wealth manager and hold a STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Diploma in estates and trusts. I have a wealth of experience built up during my many years advising both private clients, SMEs and corporate clients. Prior to setting up Fairstone Financial Management NI, I worked in the wealth management division of two major banks. I specialise in providing pre and post retirement advice including all forms of pensions and estate planning.

Sean has been our financial adviser for the past 5 years. We have just finished reviewing our Estate Planning situation. We have found that Sean always explains matters in a clear and straightforward way, enabling us to understand and make the right choices for our situation. We would not hesitate in recommending Sean and Fairstone NI.

Peter Savage

Chartered Financial Planner

I am a Chartered financial planner and I have been awarded the Chartered MCSI qualification through the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment Institute.

I started work in financial services in 1998 when I worked for Standard Life within their group pension department. I then took up a post with Barclays within their wealth management division, based in London before moving to Belfast.

I work predominantly with investment & retirement planning and also advises the firm’s corporate clients on their employee benefit and group pension requirements.

Having retired early, and highly wary of financial advisers, we wanted to maximise growth whilst protecting our retirement fund, two things we thought were incompatible. However Sean and Fairstone NI showed us otherwise and it was all the more remarkable because he achieved this during the recession and tough economic times! Sean was very professional, honest, open and knowledgeable, he delivered regular portfolio reviews with on-going support and advice in plain English, we are now content that our family’s future is financially secure and trust Sean to help keep us secure.
