Having graduated from Newcastle University with a First Class degree in Mathematics and Statistics, I have now been working within the financial services sector since 2021. Prior to that I worked in numerically based roles such as Data Analytics and Tax Planning.
Whilst technical skills and qualifications are fundamental to meeting a client’s goals, I believe trust and credibility comes from truly listening to people to ensure a full understanding of individual circumstances. My aim is to establish a good rapport and lasting working relationship with all of my clients; and ultimately help them to achieve the best financial outcomes possible.
I come from a working-class background and I appreciate the value of money. I have the skills, knowledge and confidence to manage large portfolios but I am equally passionate about supporting people with lower investment opportunities, providing sound advice to help people make the right decisions for themselves and their families. I am also acutely aware of the extent to which social media and technology can leave people exposed to financial scams and exploitation. I am very keen to raise this awareness and ensure my clients are fully informed on what to look out for; and the preventative measures to protect against this.
Outside of work I spend most of my time playing golf. I’m a member of Tynemouth Golf Club so please feel free to look me up and join me for a round.
