Ian Rutherford

After beginning my career in the agricultural sector, I decided to pursue my interest in financial advice. I gained diplomas from the LIBF and the CII and started working at Fairstone in 2022. In 2024, the CII awarded me the Cass Prize in recognition of outstanding academic performance.

I believe that every client should receive bespoke advice, as every person and their financial situation is unique. I enjoy meeting and developing trusting relationships with new clients, and I always want to be there to provide straightforward and easy-to-understand advice.

In my spare time, I enjoy staying active and am especially committed to the weekly football game I have been attending for decades. I take this very seriously, although my wife tries to remind me each week that I’m not playing in the World Cup final.
